Kerry Day (Company Director)

Kerry was the founder of Northern Kids Theatre Company back in 1988 before it became NK Theatre Arts at the turn of the century. As Director, Kerry is responsible for ensuring all productions and events undertaken by NK are of the highest possible standard. She oversees all the artistic presentations of NK, working alongside directors, producers and performers encouraging them to deliver work of the uppermost calibre.

Darren Stannage (Company Manager)

It is Darren’s role to ensure that the business element of The Company runs smoothly. Darren deals with the finance and administration of NK Theatre Arts and The Forum Theatre. This includes budgets, payroll, all grants and donations to The Charity, bookkeeping, various contracts with theatre hirers, liaising with Stockport Council regarding our ongoing partnership and residency at The Forum Theatre. He also is responsible for the Company Website and the co-ordination of the Trustee Meetings. Darren is the Premises Supervisor for the theatre license. |

Andy Quinn (Head of Marketing & Business Development)

Andy joined NKTA in 2011 when he became our first specific appointment responsible for Marketing and Business Development. Andy will ensure that each and every element of NK is promoted accordingly, as well as bringing much needed revenue to the Charity by way of engaging sponsorship and corporate hospitality for the company. He will also liase with parents and volunteers to assist in the growth of NK Theatre Arts |

Diane Wilson (Office Secretary)
Diane provides both clerical and administrative support to staff as part of a team and individually. Her role plays a vital part in the administration and smooth-running of The Company with the coordination and implementation of office and box office-procedures. Additionally Diane oversees the supervision of volunteers and young people seconded to The Company on work experience.

Dominic Stannage (Production Co-ordinator)

Essentially, Dominic’s role is to oversee productions presented by NK ,both internally and externally. Working with the director, Dominic is responsible for ensuring that all aspecs of the production are brought together. He works with the technical team with audio, visual and lighting, and heads the Stage Management team on design and build. Dominic is also responsible for visiting productions to the Forum advising and overseeing all the technical elements of their shows. He also produces all the fliers and posters for NK and designs all publicity powerpoint presentations. |

Dawn Wrigley (Workshop, Events & TIE Co-ordinator)

Dawn’s role is to ensure that all the Musical Theatre and Drama Workshop held in the evenings run smoothly by staffing each workshop and making sure the relevant workshop plans are provided. She holds regular staff meetings with the voluntary tutors offering valuable support where needed. In addition she is responsible for engaging and training front of house staff for all shows and events at the Theatre. In addition, Dawn heads our Theatre-in Education Team that takes issue based dramas and inspirational workshops out into schools and the wider community. |

Hayley Bigwood (Tutor Mentor)

Hayley is a highly experienced drama tutor who has been a member of teaching staff at NK for many years. Her role is to share her expertise with other tutors in order to ensure the high standard of teaching at NK is consistent throughout all workshop classes. She is responsible for the development of teaching strategies through the NK tutor guidelines and based on the aims and objectives of NK lesson plans.

Emma Ramsden (Special Needs Co-ordinator)

Emma plays a key role in the pastoral care of our members and takes particular responsibility for the tuition and workshop content of Adult Access, a dedicated group of older members with learning disabilities. Emma and her support team enable the class to develop theatre based skills, using ideas and experiences from within the group to produce some amazing pieces of theatre. In addition Emma provides private singing lessons on request. |

Pete Curran (Tutor / Director)

Pete is our Adult Drama tutor (on the first Tuesday of every month!) and has been with NK for over 20 years, having previously taught most of our Senior Drama classes in his time with the company. Pete also directs with The Performance Class as well as directing various adult productions throughout the year. Pete is also a Trustee of our Charity and assists with Child Protection policies in his work capacity in Social Services.

Paul Wilson (Director)

Paul is a volunteer Director with NK, taking responsibility for a musical theatre performance undertaken by NK's Performance Class and adult members each year.. As well as acting with the company, Paul assists greatly with the Lighting and Sound designs for the company as well as co-ordinating the musicians which play live for NK performances. Paul also is one half of the Chicagoland Blues Brothers which perform at The Forum each year. |

Terry Halliday (Site Manager)

Terry is responsible for the upkeep of the building. His duties include cleaning the building, placing orders, accepting deliveries, supervising outside contractors, repairing equipment and preparing the versatile auditorium for shows and events, plus other studios for theatre workshops, meetings etc.

David Jarvis (Lighting Technician)

David is on a 12 month apprentiship working on a Theatre Lighting course at Manchester College. He will be the lighting operator for all of the shows, both NK productions and those brought into the theatre by external organisations. He works closely with Dominic with regards to the technical preparation for theatre events and is also seconded to Werneth Arts College where he assists the school in their theatre lighting and ICT needs. |
